Unlike the previous event, the event Bukit Asam Innovation Awards (BAIA) which is the second time this year held PTBA involve participants from outside the corporate environment, ie partner / target as well as high school students throughout the district of Muara Enim and Lahat.

BAIA Awards Night 2016, with the theme "Innovation for High Fly" which was held at night it becomes the peak of a series of events which began on August 17, 2015 last. This event has been successful in involving 709 participants and collected 217 papers.

From the records of the committee, the organization of this time surpassed the set targets, namely the 135 works by the company's internal environment, 62 papers from 32 senior high school (SMA and SMK), and 20 papers of six partners and 5 trained partners. The results, according to Chairman of the Committee BAIA 2016 Julismi, an increase compared to the same event earlier in 2014 and then, where collected 109 papers and involves the participation of 383 participants. This event wants to encourage, motivate and cultivate PTBA employees and the communities and their stakeholders to continuously improve competitiveness through creativity, innovation, and improvement, so that the process of transformation PTBA become a world-class energy company may soon be realized.
