The Bukit Asam coal mine is located in the center of Sumatra Island, making coal transportation from the mine site to the port a crucial aspect of the company's operations. Therefore, increasing coal transportation capacity is a top priority. As part of this effort, Bukit Asam continues to strengthen its synergy with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) to develop coal transportation routes, particularly on the Tanjung Enim-Kramasan route.
To support smooth distribution, Bukit Asam is building critical infrastructure such as the Train Loading Station (TLS) and Coal Handling Facilities (CHF) 6 and 7 in Tanjung Enim. These facilities are designed to have a total capacity of up to 20 million tons of coal per year, ensuring a more efficient and reliable transportation process.

Bukit Asam also continues to optimize the transport capacity of its existing trains. One step taken is to increase the number of cars on each train, which directly contributes to a significant increase in the volume of coal transported.
Beyond railways, the company is also expanding its transport capacity by operating dedicated coal trucking routes. This initiative allows for more flexible and efficient distribution, particularly in areas not directly connected to railways.
Through this integrated approach, Bukit Asam is committed to ensuring the smooth and reliable distribution of coal from the mine to its final destination.
