Belt conveyor system in the excavation area has shifting type and non shifted one. The shifting one is equipped with shifting rails. Before performing a shift, a new paved runway with a thickness of 5.2 meters must be made in advance.

There are three (3) ways of shifting, parallel, slewing and a combination of both ways. Parallel shifting is done by shifting altogether the conveyor head to tail parallel with previous position for certain distance. Slewing shift is done by sliding one end of conveyor head or its tail to a certain distance while the other end remained in its original position. So it looks like the shape of a swing. Combination shifting is doing slewing and parallel shif simultaneously. It is done when the shift required further distance.
