Asia Sustainability Report Rating (ASRRAT) 2021

Bukit Asam received the Gold Award in the 2021 Asia Sustainability Report Rating (ASRRAT) event organized by the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) in Jakarta on November 17, 2021. ASRRAT gives awards to institutions that are successful in communicating sustainability performance to stakeholders through good sustainability reports.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global agenda that has been running since its inauguration in 2015. The Indonesian government and stakeholders, including practitioners, have taken various strategic steps to support their achievements. The SDGs have become the rationale for mutual understanding for all parties involved.
The sustainability report shows company or organization’s contribution in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sustainability report provides key stakeholders with an understanding of the sustainability impacts for the company's key business activities, and their responsible business dealings actions to enable stakeholders to evaluate its implementation.
Therefore, in recognition and appreciation to companies that have made sustainability reports, the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) has held the Sustainability Reporting Award (SRA) every year, since 2005. This award also has a purpose to motivate and accelerate the sustainability of corporate reporting by appreciating extraordinary efforts to communicate the company's performance in three aspects (economic, social and environmental). Accordingly, the award does not comment on performance itself, but rather focuses on reporting transparency and compliance with sustainability reporting guidelines developed by the Global Reporting Initiative.
