Bukit Asam Moves Quickly to Assist Flood Victims in Muara Enim
Muara Enim, January 14, 2025 - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) has distributed aid to the community affected by the recent floods in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The assistance was provided through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Muara Enim on Monday, January 13, 2025.
The aid distributed includes 77 liters of cooking oil, 385 kg of rice, 77 kg of sugar, 77 boxes of instant noodles, and 77 cans of sardines.
This assistance was given to help ease the burden on the communities affected by the floods in several sub-districts, namely Muara Enim, Ujan Mas, Benakat, Gunung Megang, and Rambang Niru.
"We are committed to always being present for the community, especially in emergency situations like this. This aid is a form of Bukit Asam's care for those in need," said Listati, AVP of Community Engagement & Partnership at PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA).
Apriansyah, the Emergency & Logistics Staff at BPBD Muara Enim, representing the Head of BPBD Muara Enim, expressed appreciation for PTBA’s support. BPBD Muara Enim welcomed the aid from PTBA and will promptly distribute it to the affected communities.
"We are very grateful for Bukit Asam's support. This assistance is very meaningful to the flood-affected communities and helps meet their basic needs during this difficult time," he said.
He hopes that collaboration between businesses, the government, and the community will continue to strengthen, working together to address the impacts of natural disasters and accelerate the recovery process for the affected communities.
