Bukit Asam (PTBA) Helps School Dropouts with Equivalency Education
PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) implements Ayo Sekolah Plus program in an effort to help school dropouts by providing Package A, B, and C equivalency education. In collaboration with Cendekia Unggul Foundation, the company conducted socialization and instruction regarding the equivalency education at Cendekia Unggul Foundation, Tanjung Enim on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
Packages A, B, and C are equivalency education programs that aim to provide learning opportunities for people who have not completed formal education. Package A corresponds to elementary/MI education, Package B to junior high/MTs, and Package C to high school/MA.
In the Ayo Sekolah Plus program, PTBA covers all education fees for Packages A, B, and C, making them available to people who have dropped out of school yet remain enthusiastic to learn. The goal is to lower dropout rates and ensure that students in PTBA's operations areas have access to quality education.
VP Sustainability PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), Hartono, emphasized the importance of education as a long-term social investment to prepare superior future generations and break the chain of poverty.
"PTBA is committed to supporting initiatives that will improve community welfare, one of which is education. Ayo Sekolah Plus program, which attempts to invite students who have dropped out of school back, is projected to lower the dropout rate through our collaboration with Cendekia Unggul Foundation and PKBP (Educational Learning Activity Center)," said Hartono.
"We are very grateful because PTBA has covered the fee of equivalency education, which was used to be difficult for a lot of families. With this support, we can witness their happiness since they are no longer need to worry about education fees. We hope PTBA would continue to succeed and provide greater benefits to the people of Muara Enim Regency," said Zaibin, the Head of Cendekia Unggul Foundation.
