Bukit Asam (PTBA) Receives 4 IDIA Awards 2023
PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) received four awards at the Indonesia Digital Innovation & Achievement (IDIA) Awards 2023 for its digital innovation. The awards were presented in Jakarta on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
PTBA got awards in the categories of Best Overall Digital Innovation & Achievement 2023 and Best Digital Technology & IoT Implementation 2023 in the Mining Industry.
Also, President Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Arsal Ismail was awarded Best CEO Indonesia Digital Innovation & Achievement of The Year 2023, while VP of Information Technology PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Andri Mahendra was awarded Best Senior Executive Indonesia Digital Innovation & Achievement of The Year 2023.
Andri Mahendra expressed his gratitude for this honor and said that the recognition would encourage PTBA to develop various digital technology-based innovations to support all business processes.
"We are honored and grateful for the recognition. Digital transformation is part of PTBA's strategic steps to increase efficiency and sustainability. This will be strengthened in the future to support the company's business processes," said Andri.
Since 2020, PTBA has implemented the CISEA (Corporate Information System and Enterprise Application), allowing mining operational activities to be monitored in real time via cellphone.
The CISEA application integrates multiple systems at the same time, including Automation & SCADA System Integration, Bukit Asam Mine Dispatch Optimization System, Automatic Train Loading Station, Slope Stability Radar (SSR), Digital Telemetry, Integrated Water Monitoring System (SPARING).
"Using the Internet of Things makes decision making faster, more precise and accurate. Digitalization also supports the implementation of Good Mining Practice," explained Andri.
The IDIA Awards 2023 aims to give appreciation and awards to companies who have made significant achievement in digital innovation and improved and more efficient IoT implementation.
The assessment is conducted by a jury comprised of academics, practitioners, as well as founders of associations related to ICT and judges from ministries and government institutions such as the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo), the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), and National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
PTBA received a score of 4.00 out of 5.00 from the 2023 IDIA Awards Jury. The criteria used to determine the score are Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Independency, and Fairness.
