Bukit Asam (PTBA) Enlivens BUMN Goes to Campus at Polsri
In collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) and other state-owned companies organized the BUMN Goes To Campus program on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Sriwijaya State Polytechnic (Polsri) Palembang.
Job opportunities and challenges were displayed at this event for Polsri students interested in a career at BUMN.
Special Staff III to the Minister of BUMN, Arya Sinulingga, said that Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir had implemented various transformations in BUMN, one of which was to provide broad opportunities for the younger generation to have careers in BUMN through BUMN Joint Recruitment Program (RBB) and BUMN Talented Generation Internships (Magenta).
"The culture will change as there are more young generations. Mr. Erick creates opportunities for the younger generation to hold critical roles in BUMN, which influences 30-40% of the Indonesian economy," said Arya.
Arya highlighted that the BUMN Joint Recruitment Program (RBB) gives the younger generation the opportunity to have careers at BUMN. “The key to success is to hone soft skills, discipline in time management, expand networking, and gain experience," Arya explained.
A talk show session was also held during the BUMN Goes to Campus event, with several speakers presenting various interesting programs at BUMN as well as tips and tricks for students who want to apply for jobs at BUMNs.
"The speakers really inspired me to organize a better future, especially in getting reliable jobs," said Ari Yanto, one of the students who attended this event.
Polsri students can also visit 10 educational booths from the following BUMNs: Bukit Asam, Bank Mandiri, PLN, Pusri, Pegadaian, PGN, Hutama Karya, Semen Baturaja, and Telkomsel. At the booth, they can find information about the companies as well as internship options for the students.
Scholarships from BUMNs were also awarded to ten excellent Polsri students in this event.
