Bukit Asam (PTBA) Earns the Great Place To Work® Title

PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) has earned the Great Place To Work® certification for 2025, becoming the first mining company in Indonesia to receive this prestigious recognition. The award was granted following an assessment of employee satisfaction, based on a comprehensive survey capturing their experiences and perceptions while working at the company.
Great Place To Work® is a globally recognized authority that focuses on fostering workplace culture, enhancing employee experience, and implementing effective leadership practices to ensure that companies achieve market leadership, retain talent, and drive innovation.
The survey distributed to employees covered several key aspects, including the company's credibility, the comfort of the work environment, employee pride in the company, and the sense of fairness towards workers. According to the survey results, 89 percent of employees stated that PTBA is a comfortable and enjoyable place to work.
"Receiving the Great Place To Work® certification is a significant achievement for the company, demonstrating that we have successfully created a comfortable and positive work environment for our employees. The company remains committed to providing opportunities for growth and continuously prioritizes the welfare of all employees," said Suherman, Director of Human Resources (HR) at PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA).
He explained that PTBA has implemented a Respectful Workplace Policy to create safe, comfortable, conducive, and inclusive working conditions for all employees.
"This policy is an important tool for fostering a work environment free from discrimination, exclusion or restriction, harassment, bullying, and all forms of violence. The Respectful Workplace Policy is also designed to prevent, address, and identify actions that violate the principle of mutual respect," said Suherman.
Suherman added that receiving the Great Place To Work® certification further strengthens the company’s commitment to building a collaborative, respectful, and credible work environment. "This aligns with the AKHLAK values (Trusted, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, Collaborative), which are the core values of BUMN," he said.
"The Great Place To Work® certification is a coveted achievement for any company, but obtaining it requires high effort and dedication to ensuring employee comfort and satisfaction throughout their work experience," said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work®.
She added that by receiving this award, the company has been recognized as one of the organizations successful in providing the best work environment for its employees.
