Bukit Asam (PTBA) Receives Two Subroto Awards 2023 from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources
PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Group which manages coal commodities, receives 2 awards at the Subroto Award 2023 event.
The first award is Subroto Award 2023 for Innovation in the Provision, Development and Management of Nursery Facilities in Mineral and Coal Mining Business Activities, Category Mining Business Permit (IUP) and Special Mining Business Permit (IUPK) Group.
The second award is Subroto Award 2023 for the Most Innovative Coal Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) Sector, Category PKP2B/IUPK/IUP BUMN.
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif kicked off the Subroto Award 2023 event, which took place in Jakarta on Friday, September 2023. Director of Operations & Production of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Suhedi and General Manager of PTBA Tanjung Enim Mining Unit Venpri Sagara were present to receive the award.
Arifin Tasrif stated in his speech that the Subroto Award is the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' way of appreciation to the best performance among stakeholders in the ESDM sector.
"The Subroto Award is the highest award given by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to stakeholders who have performed the best in advancing the energy and mineral resources sector in Indonesia in the past year. I would like to congratulate the winners of the Subroto Award 2023," said Arifin.
Arifin Tasrif expects that the Subroto Award will contribute significantly to the development of the ESDM sector by encouraging new innovation for the development of clean energy and encouraging stakeholders to be more productive.
Receiving this award, Director of Operations & Production of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Suhedi expressed his gratitude for the appreciation given by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and emphasized PTBA's commitment to sustainable economic development by focusing on a balance between economic, social and environmental aspects.
"The Subroto Award from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is certainly source of pride for PTBA, as well as a motivation to continue innovating to support sustainable development. As members of the MIND ID mining BUMN holding, we consistently prioritize environmental and social advantages," said Suhedi.
The Subroto Awards is held for the sixth time in 2023. The Subroto Award is named after Prof. Subroto, who served as Minister of Mines and Energy from 1978 to 1988. This award is the peak of a series of events commemorating Mining and Energy Day, which is celebrated every September 28.
