Bukit Asam (PTBA) Provides Waste Disposal Machines for Muara Enim
PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) provides support to Muara Enim Regency in the form of waste disposal machine. On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the machine was delivered to the Bukit Kancil Final Disposal Site, Muara Enim.
Acting Regent of Muara Enim, Ahmad Rizali expressed his gratitude to Bukit Asam for the assistance. "This machine, with a production capacity of 50–60 tonnes per day, will definitely help optimize waste management at the 28.5-hectare Bukit Kancil final waste disposal site, given that the site receives approximately 70 tonnes pile of waste per day," said Ahmad Rizali.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between local governments and the business community in preserving environmental cleanliness and sustainability. "Let's work together to make Bumi Serasan Sekundang leading," he said.
Meanwhile, VP Sustainability of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Hartono said that this assistance was part of the Company's efforts to support environmental cleanliness and sustainability and increase the quality of community life, in line with PTBA's vision to become a world-class energy company that cares about the environment.
The waste disposal machine is manufactured by PT Indo Power Internasional (IPI) Advanced Waste Conversion System (AWS) type 50. This machine can convert waste into alternative energy sources, fertilizer and planting media, making it easier for people to build a more beautiful and sustainable environment.
"With this machine, it is hoped that the waste management process in Muara Enim Regency can bring positive value to the environment and surrounding communities," said Hartono.
