PTBA has implemented various programs to help achieve the SDGs. In accordance with Goal 6 of the SDGs, PTBA has a program to provide clean water and proper sanitation facilities, which has been implemented in 25 locations.
PTBA has also created seven agricultural irrigation systems based on solar power plants for rain-fed agricultural land around the company's operations area. To accomplish SDG 13's goal of encouraging climate change management, PTBA is implementing the Climate Village Program (ProKlim). Seven fostered villages, including Pelakat Village, Pagar Dewa, Ulak Pandan, Tanjung Tiga, Tanjung Raja, Keban Agung, and Arahan, have received the Proklim Village award.
Eco Agrotomation, another TJSL environmental pillar program, encourages ecologically friendly automation-based plant cultivation to support greening and reclamation programs. Eco Agrotomation is a form of PTBA support for SDG 15, theTerrestrial Ecosystem.
Through Eco Agrotomation, PTBA encourages the community's economy while preserving the environment. This initiative has benefited 105 people from underprivilege families and former illegal mining (PETI) workers.
In addition, there are disaster response programs, house renovations, assistance for places of worship, and assistance for road repair/construction, in line with SDGs Goal 11 of Sustainable Cities and Settlements.
"We will always strive to provide benefits and support sustainable development, in line with the Noble Purpose of PTBA as a member of the MIND ID Group: to explore natural resources for civilization, prosperity and a better future," said Niko.
The 2024 TJSL & CSR Award is organized by BUMN Track with support from the Indonesia Shared Value Institute (ISVI).
