GRC CLASS SPECIAL EVENT 2022

IMPLEMENTATION OF BUSINESS JUDGEMENT RULES IN SOEs AND SOEs SUBSIDIARIES
PTBA held a GRC Class Special Event 2022 on 28-29 September 2022 in Jakarta with the theme “Implementation of Business Judgment Rules in SOEs and SOEs Subsidiaries”. This GRC Class Special Event is a series of GRC Executive and Regular Class 2022 activities from June 2022 to November 2022.
GRC stands for Governance, Risk and Compliance, first formulated in 2003 by the Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG).
Experts formally agree that GRC is a reference to an integrated collective capability that enables organizations to reliably achieve their goals, to overcome uncertainty and to act with integrity, including accountable and confident decision making and management of performance, risk and compliance.
Business Judgment Rules (BJR) is one of the GRC capabilities specifically needed by organizations in decision making. In the event that business decisions taken by the organization have considered various aspects carefully and accountably, in good faith and in the right way, but ultimately result in losses due to factors beyond the organization’s control, the BJR doctrine is often used as a defense material to protect the Board of Directors from lawsuits.
The participants of GRC Special Event Business Judgment Rules 2022 include a number of VP officials and staff from GRC functions and Directors of Subsidiaries & Affiliated Companies (AAP) within the PTBA Group. The source person was Mr. Roni Sulistyo Sutrisno, ST, GRCP, GRCA, ERMCP, CACP (PT Business Solutions Proxsis).
GRC Executive and Regular Class 2022 will be held until November 2022, with Sessions 5 and 6 of the Regular Class in October and November. Next year, PTBA has planned for GRC class continuation through a strengthening program based on the GRC Excellence Model Concept from the GRC Forum Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
With this series of training and strengthening, PTBA and all of its Subsidiaries & Affiliates are expected to gain competency enrichment to develop a reliable and resilient organizational capability in the midst of changing and volatile global conditions. As SOE, PTBA Group certainly has an obligation to protect shareholder value and make a real contribution to the country.
