PTBA again participated in 22nd Annual Fair of Environment and Forestry (PLHK) in Jakarta. At this time PTBA in synergy with Mining Holding Indonesia Company present a variety of environmental management in a joint exhibition stand. The exhibition which was opened by General Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Bambang Hendroyono marked the three-days exhibition. In PLHK 2018 PTBA displays various environmental management activities that have been implemented. These activities include post-mining reclamation, nurseries, and Tahura Enim as a form of long-term management plan in the post-mining area. PTBA also showcased several products from CSR partners, one of which is Kopi Semende which attracts visitors. PTBA in collaboration with Indonesian Natural Farmer’s Centre Al-Azhar presents Pelakat Village’s coffee which can be tasted directly by visitors in this exhibition. This year’s PLHK activities took place from July 19-21, 2018 also received attention from the public with a total of 11.833 visitors. In addition, this exhibition takes the theme of “Control Plastic Waste” and apply the principle of less waste event. So the garbage generated by participants and visitors is sorted and sent to the garbage bank for re-use. The goal is to educate visitors about waste management and eco-friendly lifestyle. On the last day of PLHK Exhibition it was also increasingly crowded with the presence of the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya. Minister Siti also visited the Bukit Asam stand location and gave an appreciation of the environmental management performance that achieved by Gold Proper for five consecutive years. In addition, at the closing ceremony of this event Mining Holding Indonesia Company was awarded as the first winner of the best PLHK 2018.
