Bukit Asam (PTBA)’s 43rd Anniversary, Pioneering the Future
PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) celebrates its 43rd anniversary on March 2, 2024. The centerpiece of the PTBA's 43rd anniversary celebration took place at the Tanah Putih Multipurpose Building (GSG), Tanjung Enim, with the theme "Pioneering The Future."
Arsal Ismail, the President Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), stated his optimism that PTBA would become a pioneer in creating a new and better future on this particular occasion. He encouraged PTBA personnel to develop innovations to future challenges.
"PTBA continues to transform to become a world-class energy company that cares about the environment. Being a pioneer for the future requires PTBA to be agile in achieving new targets, exploring opportunities and leading change in order to provide endless energy to the country," said Arsal.
PTBA has undertaken a number of initiatives to pioneer the future. This includes working with different organizations to promote increased added value of coal, as well as technological development in the field of new and renewable energy (NRE) by collaboration with the National Research & Innovation Agency (BRIN) and various universities.
It is envisaged that this collaboration and research and development will result in innovation that considers economies of scale, allowing for coal downstreaming and NRE development.
“PTBA's existence and achievements to date cannot be separated from the support of various parties. I humbly ask for support from all stakeholders so that our future aspirations will not only benefit our company, but also the stakeholders, especially the people and the nation," said Arsal.
"I am convinced that with the support of all stakeholders and the Noble Purposes of MIND ID to build civilization and a better future, PTBA's vision and goals will be achieved in the future," he said.
Series of PTBA 43rd Anniversary Social Activities
To commemorate its 43rd anniversary, PTBA organized a number of social activities, including mass circumcisions for children around the Company's operational areas, adaptive wheelchairs for people with cerebral palsy, free cataract surgery, house renovations to create livable home, and so on.
A Coloring Contest at PAUD-TK Level, a Speech Contest at Elementary-Junior High School-High School Level, an Academic Competition for Elementary-Junior High School-High School, and a Folk Festival for the general public were also held to celebrate PTBA's 43rd anniversary.
