Celebrating Bukit Asam's 44th Anniversary, PORSIBA Marching Band Competition 2025 Successfully Held

Bukit Asam Sports and Arts Development (PORSIBA) has once again achieved a success. This time, PORSIBA organized the first marching band competition in Tanjung Enim, the PORSIBA Marching Band Competition (PMBC) 2025, which took place at the Bukit Asam Berangau Sports Hall in Tanjung Enim on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
The event, organized by PORSIBA in collaboration with the Indonesian Drum Band Association (PDBI) of Muara Enim Regency, was attended by 16 contingents with 64 representatives, comprising over 1,000 participants. These participants represented school marching band units from various regencies and cities across South Sumatra Province, including Muara Enim, Lahat, Prabumulih, Gelumbang, Kikim, and more.
Aloisius H. Rahangiar, General Chairperson of PORSIBA, expressed pride in the success of the event. He hopes that similar events can be held regularly and become annual PORSIBA program, further contributing to the development of marching bands in South Sumatra.
"The 2025 PMBC event, organized by PORSIBA to celebrate the company’s 44th anniversary, reflects PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA)’s commitment to supporting the development of arts and sports in the Ring 1 area. I would like to extend my appreciation to the youths, teachers, and parents of the 2025 PMBC participants who have traveled from various regions in South Sumatra to support this competition. I hope that PORSIBA Marching Band Competition becomes an annual event, attracting more participants from across South Sumatra, and even nationally, nurturing talented athletes who excel," he said.
Denny Ramadi Halim, Head of the PMBC 2025 Organizing Committee, stated that the success of this event was a result of the collaboration and support from various parties.
"We are organizing PMBC 2025 as a manifestation of the ideas and aspirations of the Bukit Asam Marching Band, in collaboration with the PDBI Muara Enim Regency, to provide a platform for the interests and talents of marching band units in Muara Enim Regency through a competitive event. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all the parties who have fully supported this activity, especially PORSIBA Bukit Asam, for making this event a success," he said.
With the theme "Empowering Youth Through Sports and Creativity," PMBC 2025 featured professional judges and included 12 competition categories: the Nusantara Parade, Individual Majorette, Color Guard Contest, and Display/Concert Art, each for Elementary School, Middle School, and High School participants.
