Student Debriefing Before Going to North Maluku

To enliven the series of “BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri (BHUN)†or “State Owned Enterprises for the Country†program, Bukit Asam, Brantas Abipraya and Kawasan Berikat Nusantara held Siswa Mengenal Nusantara (SMN) or Students Getting to Know the Archipelago activities in Lampung. At the end of July, the three SOEs collaborated with the Lampung Provincial Education Office to select a number of high school, vocational high school and SLB (special needs school) students to take part in SMN activities. Various selection stages were carried out to select the best students of each city and district in Lampung Province, including psychological tests, academic tests, interviews and medical tests.
There were 23 students selected and will be sent to North Maluku for nine days to get to know the diversity of Indonesian culture. Three of the selected students are special needs students who will take part in SMN activities with companion teachers.
Before leaving for North Maluku, the participants were given a briefing by the three SOEs. These students were given a deeper introduction to BHUN and SMN program, the introduction of the companies and the cultural briefing. The debriefing was held on August 5 to 8, 2019 in Bandar Lampung. This briefing also had a purpose for the students to get to know each other and to have more solid relationship.
In addition, the students also had the opportunity to visit the company's business units to have a deeper understanding about the production process. The students also get training about the arts and culture proficiency and knowledge for performance in North Maluku.
It is hoped that with this debriefing, the students will be well prepared to take part in the SMN activities and get maximum benefit.
