PTBA Contributed Rp 9 Trillion for State Revenue Per Semester I 2022

Jakarta, September 19, 2022 - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA)’s contribution to state revenues in the first half of this year reached Rp 9 trillion, consisting of taxes of Rp 2.7 trillion and Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of Rp 6.3 trillion.
"PTBA is committed to making an optimal contribution to the country. We strive to continuously improve the company's performance as a responsibility to shareholders, in this case the Government through MIND ID as the majority shareholder," said PTBA's Corporate Secretary, Apollonius Andwie.
PTBA's large contribution to state revenues is supported by the increasing positive company performance. As of Semester I 2022, PTBA posted a net profit of Rp 6.2 trillion, 246 percent higher compared to the same period last year (year on year/yoy) of Rp. 1.8 trillion.
This increase in performance was driven by global and national economic recovery that resulted in increasing demand for coal, as well as a significant increase in coal prices.
PTBA's total coal production during Semester I 2022 reached 15.9 million tons, an increase of 20 percent compared to Semester I 2021 which amounted to 13.3 million tons. Meanwhile, PTBA's coal sales per Semester I 2022 were 14.6 million tons, 13 percent increase on an annual basis.
This brilliant achievement is also supported by the Company's solid operational performance throughout Semester I 2022. The Company successfully implements sustainable efficiency optimally by prioritizing cost leadership in every line.
