Bukit Asam (PTBA) Sustainability Program Receives Appreciation at BCOMMS 2024
PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) received the Silver award in the category of Environmental Community Involvement & Development (CID) at the 2024 BUMN Corporate Communications and Sustainability Summit.
BUMN Minister Erick Thohir presented the award directly to the Director of Finance & Risk Management of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), Farida Thamrin, at the BCOMMS 2024 event on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
"This appreciation demonstrates that PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA)'s sustainability program has successfully had a positive impact on community empowerment, especially around operational areas," said PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Corporate Secretary, Niko Chandra.
PTBA currently has an Eco Agrotomation Program, an environmentally friendly, automation-based plant cultivation to support reforestation and reclamation programs. This program contributes to the community's economic growth while also ensuring environmental sustainability.
“PTBA always implements the principle of sustainability in its business activities. This award motivates us to continue contributing to community empowerment," said Niko.
BCOMSS 2024 is an event that recognizes the sustainable Communication and Social & Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) performance of all state-owned enterprises and subsidiaries.
The implementation of BCOMMS 2024 aims to provide an understanding that the communication and TJSL programs of each BUMN must be in line with the commitment of the Ministry of BUMN, allowing each BUMN can continue to have a positive impact on society.
In his remarks at the BCOMMS 2024 event, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir stated that BCOMMS, which is now in its fourth year, is one of BUMN's efforts to promote public transparency.
"It is our responsibility to continue to encourage information disclosure as part of good corporate governance," he said.
