PT Bukit Asam Tbk or PTBA is even 37 years old on Friday, (2/3/2018). For 37 years PTBA has participated in building the nation through the coal mining sector, PTBA has undergone many transfor-mations in a better direction. Up to now it is the single largest national coal mine in Indonesia. In its development, PTBA began to use electrification technology in coal mining. PTBA as the only coal mining company using this technology. PTBA coal comes from a mining site in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra, which is the main location of PTBA coal mining. PTBA Coal contains various calories ranging from 4,500 to 6,700 kcal/kg GAR. Up to now, about 60% of PTBA's coal is used for the domestic market and the rest is for export markets to countries such as China, India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, to some countries in Europe. In 2017, PTBA also joined the Holding of SOEs Mining Industry. Through Holding State-Owned Mining Industry together with PT Inalum (Persero), PT Antam Tbk and PT Timah Tbk, PTBA is optimistic that the mining industry in Indonesia will be bigger, lively and stronger. Meanwhile, PTBA continues to be committed to always care about the environment. This is evidenced by the achievement of Gold Proper from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2017. Gold Properties grab in 2017 and make PTBA as the only national coal mining company that won Gold Properly up to five times in a row. In this PTBA 37th anniversary, PTBA always strives to improve the company's performance from year to year. Through coal, PTBA is ready to support Indonesia's economy and progress.
