PTBA Distributes 396 Food Packages for Flood Victims in Muara Enim
PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) handed over basic food assistance to help people affected by the floods in Muara Enim District and Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency, on Thursday, March 16, 2023 through the sub-districts and village offices in the area.
There were 396 basic food packages consisting of rice, cooking oil, sugar, sardines, of which 265 packages were distributed to Lawang Kidul District and 131 packages to Muara Enim District.
"Alhamdulillah, praise to God, we could help the people affected by the floods. Hopefully, this food assistance can provide relief on the flood victims," said PTBA's AVP Community Engagement & Partnership, Listati.
The Head of Lawang Kidul District Government Section, Mukhtamiri, said that the basic food packages would immediately be distributed to the communities affected by the floods.
"The District Government of Lawang Kidul would like to thank PTBA and hopefully this will give benefit to the people affected by the floods," he said.
Acting Sub-District Head of Muara Enim Husni Thamrin also expressed his appreciation to PTBA for its concern to the surrounding community. He hoped that PTBA can continue to synergize with the government and society.
"This assistance is a form of the Company's concern and synergy with the government, especially the sub-districts. We hope it can help the people affected by the floods," he said.
