PTBA Became The Host for The Indonesian Mining Experts Competencies Test Again
In the middle of the increasingly fierce competition, the certification is not just to meet an obligations, but has become a necessity, especially for the industries which engaged with the natural resources.

Therefore, PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. (PTBA) as a company which engaged in a coal mining sector fully supports and has become a host of implementation The Indonesian Mining Experts Competencies Test which ogrganized by The Professional Certification Institute Association of The Indonesian Mining Professionals (LSP-PERHAPI).

The implementation of the competency test took place at the mine site PTBA, at Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra, on September 23-25 2016, and followed by 26 participants or candidates to be tested acc.

Production Director of PTBA Joko Pramono who attended the opening ceremony of The Competency Test, that took place in The Mess Hall Base Camp Bukit Asam Tanjung Enim, Friday, September 23, 2016, said, the industry that utilizes natural resources, must perform equalization with the parameters of the strict standards.

"For that, the existence of a certification institute is most required in the terms of the equivalency standardization," said Joko Pramono.

Joko Pramono Said, at this time, certification is not only an obligation but a necessity for any industry which engaged in the field of natural resources. Therefore, a good mining business will be done if it is managed by a professional workforce, trained, have high integrity and ethics in accordance with the rules of good mining.

"Therefor, PTBA strongly support if a competency test can be implemented as often as possible in PTBA," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the LSP-PERHAPI Nur Handono revealed, now the certification has become a benchmark, not only for the industry or the relevant ministries, but the security forces were already referring to the certification.

"The use of industrial tools once the operator has now become one of the targets of the security forces to see its certification," said Nur Handono.

Nur Handono also said, certification for operators who currently takes so many bulldozers or dump truck comes, usually done by the vendor certification training such as by Trackindo, UT, and so forth. But once it becomes the responsibility of the company. Therefor, the companies must certify more employees and tools, so that skills and competencies can be maintained and guaranteed continuity.
