To support the company's growth, PTBA has increased Tarahan Port annual capacity in Bandar Lampung up to 25 million tonnes (previously was only 13 million tonnes per year). It was done by adding a new 210,000 DWT (capesize) dock and inaugurated by Minister of Transportation (2015 June) as a Indonesia largest berthing capacity port. Today, the port can be docked on 3 jetty simultaneously. The docks berthing capacity were 210,000 DWT (capesize), 80,000 DWT (Panamax) and 10,000 DWT (barge).

Tarahan port supported by additional coal dismantling facility from railway carriages (RCD), in addition to existing 2 (two) RCDs. Now can dismantle four coal carriages simultaneously. In addition, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has increased the payload capacity to 22.7 million tonnes per year by completion of double track railway lines. The lines transported coal from Tanjung Enim mine to Prabumulih. Tarahan port already equipped with a 2 x 8 MW own power plant. Previously use electricity power from PLN. Beside reliability, it provided efficiency for the Port, as well as Tanjung Enim 3 x 10 MW power plant.

Since 2015 May, Banjarsari 2 x 110 MW power plant already in commercial operation through PLN South Sumatra interconnection network. Besides power plant ownership through of PT Bukit Pembangkit Innovatif (BPI) consortium, PTBA was the fuel sole supplier of 1.4 million tonnes coal per year. In addition, Banko Tengah 2 x 620 MW (Sumsel 8) power plant was scheduled to start its construction in 2015 second half and ready to operate commercially in 2019.

Meanwhile, to establish reliabile performance, PTBA as a Holding Company continued to expand its business. By setting up several subsidiaries and acquired new companies as Affiliated Company. PTBA business now has covered mining, power plant, mining services, coal trading, coal marine transportation, port management, agriculture and health services. All subsidiaries and affiliated companies synergized in supporting PTBA Holding to achieveits performance.
