PTBA and Business Partners Cleaning the Enim River

Within the National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) together with partners carried out a cleaning action along the Enim River, Tanjung Enim Village, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
This activity was supported by Bukit Asam Fire Rescue Team, PTBA's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), PT Satria Bahana Sarana (SBS), PT Pamapersada Nusantara, and the Tanjung Enim Tourism City Team. The cleaning action started behind the Kartika Restaurant and finished at Eks BMM Workshop.
AVP of Mining Safety & K3L PTBA Tanjung Enim Mining Unit, Firdaus B Fadli, said that this social activity was not only within the framework of the National OHS Month but also to maintain the preservation and purity of river water.
Firdaus also expressed his gratitude to PTBA's partners who participated with the community in cleaning up trash in the river.
"Allhamdullilah, praise to Almighty God, today we have gone along the river, from behind the Kartika Restaurant and managed to collect trash in four boats," he said.
He appealed to the people of Tanjung Enim and its surroundings to dispose trash in the right place, not into the river. River cleanliness also needed to be maintained in order to realize Tanjung Enim as a Tourism City.
"Next Saturday, we invite all of our colleagues to return along the Enim River to pick up trash in the river. We look forward to your participation again," he said.
