President Director of PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. (PTBA) Ir. Arifin Arviyan PTBA invites business partners to strengthen the cooperation relations, especially in doing the steps in operational efficiency and investment.

"Just by efficiency our business can survive. Perhaps we margin or profit will be reduced by the presence of this efficiency, but we can still survive, rather than a large margin of us, but 1-2 months after we finished,” said Arviyan in his speech at an iftar together with his business partners at Hotel Ritz Carlton, Jakarta, Monday (13/6).

According Arviyan, efficiency will not succeed if it is not carried out jointly between the trading partners and business partners with PTBA PTBA. "Certainly will not be able to provide benefits for both parties," he said.

As is known, until today, the coal business is still in good condition have not been optimally resulting in many coal companies around the world who are in difficult conditions, even close. But thanks to the efficiency, performance during the first quarter 2016 PTBA relatively good and encouraging.

"Surely this can not be separated from the support PTBA partners who have given a positive synergy and very good. We expect the future to be in better economic conditions, particularly in the commodities of coal, "said Arviyan.

Business prospects PTBA future is still very bright. Have a deposit of nearly 8 billion tons of coal with mineable reserves of approximately 3.3 billion tons, the business plan will PTBA production reached 50 million tons of coal per year by 2020.

PTBA also have the potential to develop electrical energy in the form of mine-mouth power plant to 5,000 MW which is equivalent to 18 percent of the achievement of 35,000 MW of electrical energy national procurement target.
