PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk won two awards at the TOP CSR 2017 for TOP CSR 2017 on Coal Mining Sector and PTBA Director, Arviyan Arifin as Top Leader on CSR Commitment, held on Wednesday (5/4) At Balai Kartini, Jakarta. The award was received by Achmad Sudarto who was then appointed as Finance Director of PTBA. This award is an appreciation of PTBA's commitment in fostering CSR through its various programs such as Bidiksiba (Educational Scholarship Around Bukit Asam), Bukit Asam Industry Center, and Gemilang Bukit Asam Village. The 2017 CSR Top Award is organized by Business News Indonesia Magazine in collaboration with Indonesia CSR Society and National Committee on Governance Policy (KNKG). The assessment of awards obtained by PTBA is based on the provisions of ISO 26000, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), and CSR alignment with the strategy and business competitiveness of the company. In the awards ceremony attended by various companies both BUMN and non BUMN, PTBA get honor as a speaker in a talk show in CSR Sharing session. Acting as a speaker was the Director of Finance at PTBA then, Achmad Sudarto, who oversees the CSR field. In his presentation, Achmad Sudarto explains the various steps that PTBA is implementing in conducting CSR, especially for people who are in Ring I PTBA. PTBA CSR programs are thoroughly explained, such as the utilization of former MPA land into aquaculture pond and Pelakat Village development as Gemilang Bukit Asam Village by providing PLTMH facilities and developing natural resources potential such as processing of coffee beans.
