Celebrating Independence Day, Bukit Asam and BUMN Volunteers Ignite the Spirit of Nation Building on Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day
Tanjung Enim, August 17, 2025 – PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) collaborated with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and MIND ID to bring joy and sustainable benefits to the community in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. As the Co-PIC of the BUMN Volunteer Program (RBB) Batch VIII, PTBA served as the host to accompany 10 selected volunteers from various BUMN across Indonesia in carrying out various social activities in Lawang Kidul and Tanjung Agung sub-istricts, Muara Enim.
Over three days, from August 15 to 17, 2025, PTBA and the volunteers collaborated on various programs focused on four main pillars. In the field of education, they sought to improve community literacy through various initiatives. For the health pillar, PTBA provided free healthcare services and Posyandu, ensuring that the community had better access. In the economic sector, they strengthened the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector by providing training and workshop at SIBA Center. Finally, in the environmental sector, the Dream Village program and fruit tree planting were carried out to preserve the environment, and the inauguration of the Solar Power Plant (SPP) Irrigation in Matas Village serves as a tangible commitment to renewable energy.
Dedy Saptaria Rosa, Head of the Sustainability Division at PTBA, expressed his pride in accompanying the enthusiastic volunteers in creating tangible impacts for the community. "PTBA's commitment is to deliver programs that provide sustainable social, economic, and environmental benefits," he said.
Appreciation also came from Rugun Hutapea, Deputy Coordinator for the TJSL Division at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). "Initiatives like this prove that collaboration between state-owned enterprises and the community can create sustainable social impact. Thank you to MIND ID and PTBA for their support and active role," explained Rugun.
The highlight of the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Republic of Indonesia was marked by the participation of volunteers in the August 17th ceremony at the PTBA Field, followed by competitions and the raising of the Red and White Flag at the Botanical Garden. The Red and White Flag also united all Indonesians under one banner: love for the nation.
All these activities not only commemorate independence but also serve as tangible evidence of collaboration aligned with the spirit of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, "United, Sovereign, Prosperous People, Indonesia Advances."
