Bukit Asam Donation for 600 Orphans in Ramadhan Safari

The Board of Directors of PT Bukit Asam Tbk held a Ramadhan Safari 1443 Hijriah to the Tanjung Enim Mining Unit (UPTE), Monday (April 11, 2022). Located at the Nurul Hidayah Mosque in Tanah Putih, this hybrid activity consisted of reciting the Quran, tausiyah, and praying together.
As part of the “Ramadan Light with Bukit Asam” series, Bukit Asam gave donations to 600 orphans from 15 orphanages and Islamic boarding schools as well as those attending elementary and junior high school in Muara Enim and Lahat. The total donation reached Rp150,000,000,-.
President Director of Bukit Asam Arsal Ismail said that the Ramadhan Safari was held as a forum for silaturahmi to foster harmonization and strong relationships within Bukit Asam. This activity was also held as a moment to share with others in need.
“It has been more than 2 years since we had limited access and mobility as well as holding events to establish bond in a gathering. However, we need to keep aware of the health protocols," said Arsal.
Not only at the Tanjung Enim Mining Unit, the Bukit Asam board of directors will also attend the Ramadhan Safari in other work units such as Kertapati Pier (April 12), Tarahan Port (April 13), Jakarta Representative Office (April 18), and Ombilin Mining Unit (April 19).
