"This training is intended for mosque and place of worship administrators who will be responsible for sacrificial animal slaughter. Hopefully, the participants will be able to carry out sacrificial animal slaughter in accordance with Islamic law. Similarly, in terms of animal health, they can adhere to the appropriate standardization. Bukit Asam’s purpose is to provide insight so that the participants understand the nature of this sacrifice and the distribution system of the sacrificial meat," Mustafa explained.
PTBA's 1444 H Sacrificial Animal Slaughter Training Coordinator, M Alfajrin, explained that Bukit Asam held similar training in 2022, "This is the company's contribution to the community in the Tanjung Enim area and its surroundings," he said.
The training was organized into three parts: two theory sessions and one hands-on practical session of slaughtering sacrificial animals. First, the religious law, fiqh, and sacrificial laws theory were delivered by Religious Affairs Office (KUA) Lawang Kidul extension workers.
The second topic, which was on the health and diseases of sacrifice animals, was presented by a veterinarian from the TPHP Muara Enim Service. The final topic is the practice of slaughtering procedures, was carried out by Tanjung Enim Halal Slaughtering Organization personnel.
One of the training participants, Aditya Herlin Pradana, caretaker of the Al-Muhajirin Mosque in Keban Agung Village, stated that PTBA efforts were very important for the younger generation. "It would be better to involve even more young people in order to give them insight and knowledge to carry on the slaughter of this sacrificial animal," he said.
Wirsal, Administrator of the Jami' Bukit Asam Mosque cordially welcomed the training, "With this activity, we can gather with members of the congregation and other mosque administrators.
