Promoting Driving Safety in Mining Areas, PTBA Successfully Holds Safety Driving Competition
Muara Enim, 30 January 2026 – In commemoration of the 2026 National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Month, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) successfully held a Safety Driving Competition.
The competition, which took place on 26–27 January 2026, was attended by 44 drivers from various PTBA partner companies, including light vehicle (LV) drivers, supporting vehicle operators, and operational bus drivers in the mining area.
PTBA’s Corporate SHE Division Head, Yuhendri Wisra, explained that the activity aimed to improve drivers’ competence, awareness, and compliance with driving safety aspects in the mining area.
“This competition is expected to reduce the number of workplace accidents while strengthening the OSH culture within the company’s working environment,” he said.
The Safety Driving Competition was conducted in two stages, consisting of an online preliminary selection to identify the top 10 participants, followed by a practical driving skills test held at the PTBA Fire Ground PK&K Area to determine the winners.
The winners of the competition were Aldeni from PT ALPEN, Meilan from PT ALPEN, and Doni D from PT TRAC.
Through this activity, PTBA reaffirmed its commitment to improving occupational safety standards, particularly in driving safety within mining areas, while strengthening the implementation of an OSH culture across all operational lines of the company.
