PTBA Holds Free Medical Treatment and Strengthens Stunting Prevention Efforts in Ring 1 Kertapati Port

Palembang, October 31, 2025 – As part of its commitment to improving public health in its operational areas, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) held a Free Medical Treatment, Stunting Management, and Nutritional Supplement Program for residents in the Ring 1 area of Kertapati Port.
The free medical services included general check-ups, health consultations, distribution of vitamins and medicines, and nutrition education for families with children at risk of stunting. This initiative aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s strong commitment to tackling stunting in Indonesia.
Kertapati Port General Manager, Ichsan Aprideni, explained that this activity is part of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program in the health sector and supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being. It also reflects PTBA’s genuine concern and tangible commitment, particularly through Kertapati Port’s operations.
“We hope this initiative helps the community gain easier access to healthcare services while increasing awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition to prevent stunting,” said Ichsan.
The activity took place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the yard of PT DOK Karang Sumatera, Jalan P.S Ing Kenayan No. 22, RT 02 RW 01, Karanganyar Sub-district, Gandus District, starting at 08:30 a.m.
In addition to medical services, PTBA Kertapati Port collaborated with Klinik Ummat to conduct child growth screenings, provide nutritional supplements (PMT), and deliver education sessions on parenting and healthy eating habits for mothers. The event was attended by 100 participants for the free medical services and 40 children receiving stunting management and additional nutritional support.
Secretary of Gandus Sub-district, Syafril, S.Ag., M.Si, expressed appreciation for PTBA’s continuous efforts in improving community well-being.
“We truly appreciate PT Bukit Asam Tbk’s consistent contribution to improving public health. Our gratitude goes to PTBA for continually supporting our residents — from distributing basic food packages during Eid al-Fitr, providing sacrificial animals ahead of Eid al-Adha, and donating waste carts to community units, to today’s free medical treatment and stunting management program,” said Syafril.
Through this initiative, PT Bukit Asam Tbk hopes to deliver tangible benefits to the community, particularly in efforts to prevent and reduce stunting rates while enhancing healthcare access for residents in the Ring 1 area of Kertapati Port.
