Transparency Commitment Earns Recognition, PTBA Wins 2025 Public Information Disclosure Award
Palembang, 19 February 2026 – PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA) has once again achieved a notable milestone by receiving the 2025 Public Information Disclosure Award in the State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) category from the Komisi Informasi Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. In the evaluation, PTBA secured a score of 94.84, placing the Company in the “High Qualification” category under the public information disclosure assessment system.
The award serves as recognition of PTBA’s strong commitment to implementing the principles of public information disclosure as mandated by prevailing laws and regulations, as well as its consistency in providing accurate, transparent, and easily accessible information to the public.
The award was presented directly by the Vice Governor of South Sumatra, Cik Ujang, during a ceremony held at Griya Agung on Friday (13/2/2026).
In his remarks, Cik Ujang emphasized the importance of information transparency for all public bodies.
“I would like to deliver a firm and clear message. No public body should be resistant to information disclosure. No official should treat information as a tool of power rather than as a right of the people,” he stated.
On the same occasion, Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial Information Commission, Joemarthine Chandra, explained that this year’s awards were the result of a rigorous evaluation of 312 public institutions, which began in February 2025.
“The assessment was conducted comprehensively, covering aspects such as the institutional capacity of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID), the quality of the Public Information List (DIP), information request services, and the development of information technology,” he said.
PTBA’s Corporate Secretary Division Head, Eko Prayitno, stated that the award serves as motivation for the Company to continuously strengthen the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and enhance public trust.
“This award reflects PT Bukit Asam’s commitment to upholding the principles of transparency and accountability. We believe that information disclosure is a fundamental pillar in building stakeholders’ trust and supporting the Company’s sustainability,” he remarked.
Eko further emphasized that, as a world-class energy company committed to environmental stewardship, PTBA consistently develops digital-based information service systems to facilitate public access to corporate information, including annual reports, sustainability reports, operational performance data, and corporate social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) programs.
This achievement further reinforces PTBA’s position as a state-owned enterprise that is not only focused on business performance but also upholds the principles of transparency, integrity, and excellent public service.
“Going forward, PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk will continue to innovate in enhancing the quality of public information services and ensure that all business processes are carried out in accordance with the principles of good and sustainable corporate governance,” Eko concluded.
