To Strengthen the Rural Economy, PTBA is Promoting the Transformation of Unlicensed Mining into a Driver of Sustainable Economic Growth

Tanjung Enim, March 31, 2026 – PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) continues to reinforce its commitment to supporting the sustainability of community empowerment programs through the Energizing AKHLAK initiative and the strengthening of AKSI values among its fostered groups.
This activity is part of the Company’s ongoing coaching and engagement efforts with its fostered partners, while also supporting the sustainability of transforming illegal mining (PETI) into productive economic activities that deliver positive impacts to the community.
Several fostered groups participated in the gathering, including the Putra Susukan Freshwater Fish Farming Group (Tanjung Agung Village), Kumata Maggot Farming Group (Tanjung Agung Village), SIBA Nursery Group (Tanjung Karangan Village), Quail Farming Groups (Seleman and Darmo Villages), EcoGrow Mom KWT Utun Makmur Group (Tanjung Karangan Village), and “Cahaya Tani” Farmer Group (Darmo Village).
In his remarks, Sustainable Community Development Section Head, Ajis Purnomo, emphasized the importance of consistency, collaboration, and commitment among all fostered groups in implementing sustainable programs.
“The success of a program is not only determined by the results achieved, but also by the consistency of the process carried out with a spirit of togetherness and responsibility,” said Ajis.
He added that this initiative is part of the implementation of AKHLAK core values as well as the strengthening of PTBA’s AKSI values (Accountability, Sustainability, Synergy, and Innovation) in every community empowerment activity.
The event also featured an Islamic lecture by Ustadz Iki Baihaqi, aimed at reinforcing moral and spiritual values. In his sermon, he conveyed that the key to the success of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions in business lies in the application of fundamental values such as trustworthiness, honesty, independence, and gratitude, which are reflected through the spirit of sharing with others.
“These values serve as a strong foundation in building integrity, work ethic, and social responsibility in conducting business,” explained Ustadz Iki Baihaqi.
Through this initiative, PTBA hopes that all fostered groups will become more cohesive, strengthen their sense of togetherness, and be able to run their programs sustainably with strong value-based foundations, ultimately delivering tangible benefits to improve community welfare.
