Strengthening Its SDGs Commitment, PTBA Provides Free Circumcision Services for 500 Children in Ring 1 Areas
Lahat, April 13, 2026 – In commemoration of its 45th Anniversary, PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA) once again demonstrated its commitment to delivering tangible benefits to the community, particularly in areas surrounding its operational sites, through a free mass circumcision program titled “Little Heroes Action (Free Circumcision: A Brave Step Toward Better Health).”
The first session, held on Tuesday (April 7) at the Merapi Timur Subdistrict Office Hall in Lahat Regency, was attended by 100 children. Overall, the program aims to reach 500 participants and will be carried out in stages across five subdistricts near the company’s operational areas.
PTBA’s Corporate Secretary, Eko Prayitno, stated that the program is part of the company’s contribution to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
“Through this program, PTBA aims to help communities gain access to proper healthcare services while also providing a positive experience that builds children’s confidence,” he said.
In addition to the circumcision services, participants received gift packages including circumcision kits, sarongs, caps, healthy snacks, and shopping vouchers. To make the experience more memorable, children also took part in a photo session with their parents at the “Little Heroes” booth and received certificates in recognition of their bravery.
Several officials were present at the event, including the President Director of Bukit Asam Medika (BAM), Gusti A. Wahyudi; Head of BAM Hospital, dr. Bandriyo Sudarsono, M.K.K.K; Merapi Timur Subdistrict Head Dahrif Agustian; as well as medical personnel and other local stakeholders.
Through this program, PTBA hopes that more children can grow up healthy and confident, while also strengthening its relationship with communities around its operational areas.
“Every small step taken today is part of a bigger journey toward a healthier and more prosperous society,” Eko concluded.
