PTBA Encourages Young Generation to Think Critically and Innovatively Through Scientific Writing Seminar in Palembang
Palembang, December 10, 2025 – PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), through its PTBA Goes To School program, once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of education and the younger generation. One of these efforts was the organization of a Scientific Writing Seminar themed “From Critical Thinking to Creative Innovation,” held at SMA Plus Negeri 17 Palembang on Wednesday (December 10, 2025).
The event, which began at 08:00 a.m. WIB, was attended by approximately 330 students from grades X to XII. The seminar was designed to foster a culture of literacy, enhance critical thinking skills, and develop scientific writing abilities as essential competencies for young people in facing future challenges.
In his opening remarks, the Vice Principal for Student Affairs, Erhanudin, M.Pd, expressed his appreciation for PTBA’s concern and support for the education sector.
“We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for PTBA’s visit and contribution. Educational activities like this are expected to continue in order to motivate students to better prepare for a brighter future,” he said.
Through a Motivation Class session and presentations on scientific writing, students were encouraged to think more critically and creatively, while also building confidence in expressing ideas and innovative concepts through scientific papers.
The program also served as a platform for sharing experiences and inspiration, while broadening students’ insights into the mining and energy industries, as well as the company’s contributions to society.
Kertapati Port General Manager of PTBA, Ichsan Aprideni, stated that the PTBA Goes To School program represents the company’s tangible commitment to supporting the development of high-quality and competitive human resources.
“Through this activity, we hope that students gain valuable knowledge, motivation, and insights that are relevant to the rapid development of technology and industry,” he said.
