Since PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk established and operated has already involved the local community as one of its closest stakeholders. Through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Unit, PTBA committed to encourage community entrepreneurial growth by helping small businesses with mentoring, provide training and marketing support, to finally become strong and independent entrepreneurs. To achieve it, PTBA conducted Partnership Program by aiding soft loans for small and medium businesses.

The program purposes are to reduce poverty, to empower community economic, to develop independent business. The partner selection process was done thoroughly to screen all potential partners from small business and cooperative union to find worthy developed partners.

In 2015, PTBA has distributed Partnership Program soft loan of IDR 875 million to 32 partners, located in Muara Enim, Lahat, and Musi Rawas. The Partnership agreement was conducted on Wednesday, 2015 February 25th at 08.00 in PTBA CSR office.

This soft loan has been conducted since 1992 until now. PTBA has managed and distributed total of IDR 147 billion in soft loans and distributed to 8,197 small businesses and cooperatives union across 14 provinces. With 8,197 partners, it is certainly affected to jobs creation and business opportunity for suppliers and developed partners.
