PTBA Kertapati Port Provides Free Medical Services and Supports Nutritional Needs of Pregnant Women and Toddlers

Palembang, September 24, 2026 — PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, through its Kertapati Port, has organized a Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program providing free medical treatment, health check-ups, and supplementary food for pregnant women and toddlers living around its operational area.
The program, held at PT Dok Karang Sumatera in Karang Anyar Subdistrict, involved healthcare professionals from local community health centers (Puskesmas) and integrated health posts (Posyandu). In addition to health check-ups and consultations, PTBA provided milk for pregnant women experiencing chronic energy deficiency (CED) and eggs for toddlers experiencing or at risk of stunting. Beneficiaries were identified based on data validated in coordination with the local Puskesmas and Posyandu.
Senior Public Relations Specialist of PTBA’s Kertapati Port, Cahyo Ady Nugraha, said the program reflects the Company’s commitment to supporting the health and well-being of mothers and children living around Kertapati Port.
“Based on data validated together with Puskesmas Gandus and Posyandu, there are pregnant women experiencing chronic energy deficiency, as well as toddlers experiencing or at risk of stunting. Through health examinations and nutritional support, we seek to provide assistance that addresses their specific needs,” said Cahyo.
He expressed hope that the intervention would help meet nutritional needs while raising families’ awareness of the importance of adequate nutrition during pregnancy and children’s growth and development.
Echoing this, PTBA Corporate Secretary Division Head Eko Prayitno said the Company’s TJSL programs are designed based on the needs of communities around its operational areas and aimed at delivering measurable benefits.
“PTBA is committed to implementing TJSL programs that provide tangible benefits and address community needs. Maternal and child health is one of our priorities, as nutritional and health conditions during these stages play an important role in the growth and development of future generations,” said Eko.
According to Eko, collaboration with local governments, healthcare facilities, and community-level institutions is essential to ensuring that the programs reach the intended beneficiaries effectively.
“Collaboration with various stakeholders enables the Company to better understand conditions on the ground, allowing us to design programs that are aligned with beneficiaries’ needs. We hope this collaboration will continue to support improvements in the quality of life of communities around Kertapati Port,” Eko said.
Meanwhile, Gandus Subdistrict Head Jufriansyah SSTP, MSi, expressed his appreciation for PTBA’s contribution to residents in the Kertapati Port Ring 1 area.
“On behalf of myself and the Palembang City Government, I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the Company for consistently demonstrating its concern and commitment to residents living around the Kertapati Port Ring 1 area,” said Jufriansyah.
