PTBA Receives Two Awards at Katadata ESG Insight Award 2026
Jakarta, September 21, 2026 — PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, received two awards at the Katadata ESG Insight (KESGI) Award 2026, held at Sudirman Hall, Sequis Tower, Jakarta, on Thursday (September 17, 2026).
PTBA was recognized under the ESG Pillar for its strong performance in emissions management and long-term decarbonization governance. The Company also received an award under the Environmental Pillar for its environmental performance through fleet electrification and the development of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technology.
PTBA Corporate Secretary Division Head, Eko Prayitno, said the recognition reflects the Company’s efforts to integrate environmental, social, and governance aspects into its business operations.
“This recognition motivates PTBA to further strengthen the implementation of ESG principles across its business operations. We strive to maintain a balance between operational performance, environmental management, sound governance, and creating value for communities and stakeholders,” said Eko.
According to Eko, the Company’s transformation is aimed at creating value-added growth while maintaining a long-term sustainability perspective.
“For PTBA, sustainability is an integral part of the Company’s transformation. This is reflected in efforts to improve efficiency, advance technological innovation, reduce emissions, and strengthen governance as we progress toward our Net Zero Emission target,” he added.
Meanwhile, PTBA Sustainability Division Head, Dedy Saptaria Rosa, explained that environmental management is carried out through various initiatives integrated into the Company’s operations.
“We are implementing various initiatives to improve environmental performance and reduce emissions, including the electrification of mining equipment and the development of low-emission technologies. These initiatives are being implemented gradually, taking into account technological readiness, effectiveness, and their contribution to the Company’s decarbonization targets,” said Dedy.
Dedy added that achieving these targets also requires measurable governance throughout the process, from planning to performance evaluation.
“ESG management requires consistency and strong governance. Therefore, we are strengthening our planning, measurement, and evaluation processes to ensure that every initiative delivers measurable outcomes for the Company and the environment,” he said.
