Reaching Out to Special Children, PTBA Promotes Inclusive Education Through Kelas Kreasi
Muara Enim, December 18, 2025 – PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) demonstrated its commitment to supporting inclusive education by organizing Kelas Kreasi Volume 5, themed “Beautiful Painting on Totebags,” at Autis Karunia Special School (SLB Autis Karunia) in Tegal Rejo Village, Muara Enim, on Friday (November 28, 2025).
The activity, attended by 20 students with special needs, was part of the BUMN Goes to School program initiated by PTBA. Through this program, PTBA seeks to provide a space for creative development while also fostering self-confidence among special children.
Accompanied by five volunteers, the students enthusiastically expressed their imagination on plain totebags used as painting media. Painting was chosen as it is considered effective in developing fine motor skills and serves as a positive medium of expression for the students.
“We chose SLB Autis Karunia because Kelas Kreasi and PTBA aim to reach out to special children. This activity is not merely about providing training, but also about recognizing and supporting the development of the extraordinary talents and skills possessed by the students,” said Weny Yuliastuti, Micro & Small Enterprise Funding Section Head of PTBA.
Weny added that the activity aligns with PTBA’s vision of contributing to inclusive education and personal development, ensuring that every child has equal opportunities to grow according to their potential.
Acting Chairperson of SLB Autis Karunia, Essy Wijayanti, expressed her appreciation for the program. According to her, the Kelas Kreasi initiative has had a positive impact on the students.
“We are very grateful to PT Bukit Asam for its concern and support. Activities like this are highly beneficial for our children, as painting allows them to express their emotions and creativity. We hope this collaboration can continue in the future,” she said.
Various unique artworks were produced during the activity, ranging from floral motifs and geometric shapes to colorful abstract designs. Each totebag reflected the imagination and character of each student, making it more than just a bag, but a meaningful work of art.
Through this activity, PTBA reaffirmed its commitment to continuously delivering inclusive and sustainable social programs while encouraging the growth of creativity across all segments of society.
