The Activity of “Moving Reading Park†Car, Help the Government Educate The Nation
Since “Moving Reading Park” Car was launched by Coordinating Minister for People Welfare, HR Agung Laksono, and Minister of Health, dr. Nafsiah Mboi, in their series visit to Muara Enim District on April 6, 2014, PTBA were more eager to take a part in educating the nation by maximizing the usage of the car, which price was no less than Rp 330 million, to visit various places that had been determined in order to spread science through the collection of books it carried.
The “Moving Reading Park” Car activity that far from media publication was recorded when it visited SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul some time ago. At the time the car was found, the “Moving Reading Park” Car, which was the form of PTBA CSR, was surrounded by the students of SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul. Students who had managed to get the book of their interest, immediately sought a shady and comfortable place to read the book.
It was undeniable that the selected books provided by “Moving Reading Park” Car were with interesting content and with full of color and illustrations. Therefore, they were able to make the students who read it to not quickly bored and continously filled with great passion and curiosity until the last page.
The visit of “Moving Reading Park” Car to the schools in the first ring of PTBA increased the read interest and grew the culture of avid reader among the students since the colection of the book provided were more diverse, so we could say that it was almost certain that the goal of “Moving Reading Park” Car launched by PTBA which was to take a part in educating children in the nation had been realized.
