The award was granted in recognition of PTBA’s 2024 Sustainability Report, which was assessed as fully compliant with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards 2021, Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and other relevant standards. The report was also verified by an independent third party based on the AA1000 and ISAE 3000 Sustainability Assurance Standards, ensuring high quality and credibility in the company’s sustainability efforts.

He emphasized that the company will continue to reinforce its adoption of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investment principles to further enhance corporate performance.
“In carrying out its operations, PTBA consistently adheres to Good Mining Practice and remains committed to contributing to the community. We will continue to improve these achievements in pursuit of PTBA’s vision to become a world-class, environmentally conscious energy and chemical company,” he added.
Through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or sustainability initiatives, PTBA demonstrates its dedication to creating real and lasting positive impacts. One of PTBA’s CSR flagship programs includes the development of solar-powered irrigation systems (PLTS) for local communities and farmers, aimed at strengthening food security and improving agricultural productivity.
Another notable CSR program is Desa Impian (“Dream Village”), which seeks to empower communities to transition from dependence on illegal mining toward more prosperous and sustainable livelihoods in agriculture and livestock farming.
All CSR programs are implemented based on Environmental, Social, and Governance Management (ESG) principles, resulting in flagship initiatives that not only foster strong community partnerships but also promote the preservation of the surrounding environment.
