Embodiment of Care, PTBA Deploys Aid and Disaster Response Teams to Flood-Affected Areas in Sumatra

West Sumatra, December 3, 2025 — PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, once again demonstrated its commitment to social and humanitarian missions. Through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, PTBA distributed emergency aid to residents affected by the recent floods in several regions of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
PTBA Corporate Secretary, Eko Prayitno, stated that this assistance is part of the company’s social responsibility to the community, particularly in the Sumatra region.
“PTBA is always striving to be present and respond quickly. We hope this assistance can ease the burden of our brothers and sisters affected by the floods,” he said.
The aid provided includes basic necessities such as rice, mineral water, and cooking oil. These essential supplies were distributed to residents in Kapalo Koto Village, Pauh District, Padang City, as well as through the BUMN Emergency Post. PTBA also provided essential medicines to prevent common post-disaster illnesses.
As part of this humanitarian effort, PTBA deployed a Disaster Response Team consisting of Rescue, Medical, and Sustainability units. The team, stationed at the ESDM Disaster Relief Post, collaborated with Semen Padang’s team to assist with recovery efforts, including cleaning up mud residues in several locations, one of which was SMAN 9 Padang. Both teams also collaborated to establish a free medical post at the ESDM Disaster Response Center to ensure affected communities continued to have access to basic health services during the emergency phase.
At present, joint teams from various agencies continue to carry out evacuation efforts and distribute aid to residents. The public is urged to remain vigilant and follow instructions from authorities to ensure their safety and that of their families.
